What is a Musical Scale?A musical scale is like a ladder made of notes. Just like how you step up or down on a ladder, you can move up or down the notes in a scale. The most common scale is the major scale, which sounds happy. For example, the C major scale has the notes C, D, E, F, G, A, B, and then C again. Another common scale is the minor scale, which sounds a bit sad or serious.

Why Are Scales Important?Musicians use scales to create melodies and harmonies. When you learn scales, it’s easier to play songs and understand how music works.
